Wild Rose Yoga
About me
I am a qualified seasonal yoga and Yo-Chi teacher with experience teaching yoga to both children and adults. I found yoga (or rather yoga found me) in mid-life after a long career in the world of Science. I had practiced yoga personally for many years, alongside my busy lifestyle as a career professional and mother, and found it helped my flexibility, general and mental well-being and kept niggling back issues at bay.
Whilst leading extra-curricular yoga clubs in my role as a Science teacher, I noticed the beneficial impact it had on the children in my class, strengthening my belief that yoga is for everyone and all ages. The skills to look after our mental and physical wellbeing have never been more important. I offer one to one and small or larger group sessions online or in person, based in the beautiful scenery of Devon.
The wild rose is a symbol of love, protection, and the untamed spirit of nature. I have chosen it to represent my yoga style and beliefs as it adapts and changes with the seasons. The colours pink and green represent Anahata (the heart chakra), associated with love, compassion, emotional balance, and healthy relationships.
